Food and community meals

A meal at the Ashram is hospitality, not a statistic. When numbers exist in Foundation documents, they can be published with their dates.

Community meals are part of Ashram hospitality and festival life. Prasad is offered as care, not as a marketing count.

The published photograph of a meal under a shamiana is cropped so that a child in the original foreground is not shown. The date of that particular meal is not labelled in the archive.

How to help

Grain, vegetables, or funds for a meal may be offered by writing first, so that a gift arrives as help rather than as a pile to be managed. Online meal-sponsorship checkout is not enabled; accounting categories are not yet confirmed.

Editable fields for people served, menu, sponsors, and cost exist in the stories data model. They stay empty until verified numbers are supplied.
